It has been months since Michael Muhney’s role as Adam Newman on The Young and the Restless came to an end. Yet, fans are still angry about the incident.

Muhney, who played the character since 2009, was fired from the series in December after he allegedly groped his co-star, Hunter King, TMZ reported.

Young and the Restless executives are reportedly still on the hunt for Muhney’s replacement, but his fans say no one else can fit the role.

The 39-year-old actor spoke about his departure with Huffington Post Canada TV that month and revealed what he believes is the real reason.

"Part of me feels this is because I've always been outspoken, and sometimes I've been too outspoken. Sometimes I've walked around with a big backpack full of hubris. That is entirely on me," he said.

"If I'm going to claim to be a grown man, I have to own that. But it could be financial or story. It was explained to me that CBS and Sony want to give Adam a break for 3-6 months and then they'll bring him back with a different actor."
