On October 7, a new spooky promotional still for Insidious 3 was revealed via the official Twitter account of the movie.

The image words "Help" with big plastic letters on a worn-out carpet.

"The signs are all around," the caption reads.

Leigh Whannell Teases Plot Stating There Will Be "Lots Of Shadows"   

The filming for Insidious 3 wrapped pretty quickly in a matter of months.

"Last week of shooting on Insidious Chapter 3. I'm tired and.......sorry, the producers just informed me that I'm feeling great!! Go team!!" director Leigh Whannell tweeted on August 10.

Dermot Mulroney, Stefanie Scott and Lin Shayne also star in the movie.

Blum (Blumhouse Productions) is co-producing the third film with Peli (Paranormal Activity). Whannell, who wrote the first two chapters of the franchise -- which were directed by James Wan (Fast and Furious 7) -- is helming Insidious 3.

Here's the official movie synopsis:

"In Insidious: Chapter 3, a twisted new tale of terror begins for a teenage girl and her family, predating the haunting of the Lambert family in the earlier movies and revealing more mysteries of the otherworldly realm The Further."

Insidious: Chapter 2 was released on Sept. 13 and topped the U.S. box office scoring $41.1 million over in its opening weekend. The film stars Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye, Ty Simpkins, and Barbara Hershey reprised their roles from  the first film in the series. 

The first film followed the story of the haunted Lambert family, whose son inexiplicably enters a comatose state and becomes a vessel for demons. In Insidious: Chapter 2, the married couple try to explore the secrets that tie them to the paranormal world and the demons that possessed their son.

Insidious 3 will release on May 29 2015.
