Even with the events of the last Spider-Man movie, the possibility of a re-boot could lead one fo the franchise's favorite characters to make a return if Marvel ends up taking the property back. But who will it be?

Chris Evans To Team Up With Spider-Man For 'Captain America 3?'

One character that many fans would love to see return to the franchise even though she died in the last movie is Emma Stone's Gwen Stacy. She and costar boyfriend Andrew Garfield shared great chemistry while the actress also sold the role as a tough female character.

With Marvel possibly swooping in to help the dying Spider-Man brand, maybe a return by Stone could help with the transition and allow fans to keep one of their favorite faces in the universe that Spidey is heading towards.

'Fury' Star Could Be Posed To Take Over As The Next Spider-Man

One way she could return is through the rumored Clone Saga plot that could take place during the Sinister Six. Whomever the villains and Spider-Man are facing could be using that technology and could make a clone of Gwen Stacy to mess with Spider-Man. With her moving on after the movie, it could lead to Gwen showing up to see Spidey in Avengers 3 when he cameos there.

While right now she is technically done, Stone has already made comments saying that she would happily welcome a return somehow to the franchise and that they were working on some ways to do so. But if that is Sony or Marvel talking, only time will tell.

Having one of the franchise's best characters return though could greatly help the movies that are struggling to find any life.
