Stephen Amell, who plays Oliver Queen in Arrow, dished about what fans can expect from season 3 of The CW series, at the New York Comic Con 2014.

Ra's al Ghul's Daughter Nyssa To Appear In Episode 4

While the actor didn't give away any very dramatic spoilers, he did state that the finale will feature a fight between him and a villainous character and this time around his weapon of choice won't be his bow and arrow. It is our assumption that the opponent could very well be Ra's al Ghul (Matt Noble) who has been touted as being the prime antagonist in the next chapter of the series, and the big fight would probably be saved up for the finale.

IDigitalTimes reported from the event and revealed that Amell stated that he would be "shirtless" throughout the entire fight. "It's not bows and arrows, it's swords," he added.

Recently, it was also revealed that Liam Neeson was appraoched for the role of Ra's al Ghul, as he had played the part in a Batman movie before and had casually expressed interest in taking it up for Arrow if it came his way in an interview earlier this year. The show's executive's took the actor's words quite seriously and got in touch with him.

Buzfeed reported that CW President Mark Pedowitz caught wing of that and sought Neeson out. "We never thought he would," Pedowitz said. "We quickly went to him, just on the off-chance that he had the time to do it." But Neeson didn't have the time for it, after which Matt Nable was cast in the role.

In an interview dated August 29, Neeson, spoke about the possibility of him reprising his role as Ra's al Ghul -- in Batman Begins and Dark Knight Rises -- in season 3 of Arrow.

Season 3 of Arrow premiered on October 8 on The CW.
