The next episode of Madam Secretary is about to take a serious turn when Elizabeth faces a paradox of trying to make peace as a war takes place.

'Survivor' 2014 Spoilers

On Sunday, Carter Matt posted a synopsis of the following episode where Elizabeth is going to try to make a negotiation with Iran. Due to their nuclear program, she tries to deal with this situation in the most peaceful way she can even though the president might want to take military action.

Another story will take place with Jason when he apparently sees a better side to his father during an interview for a school report. This leaves some speculation on how well the report will be and if it'll change the relationship with Jason and his dad. It sounds like things might go well for them, but Elizabeth might be facing a struggle.

'The Good Wife' Season 6 Spoilers

Even though the Secretary of State will be up against what might be the impossible, there's a good chance that she will succeed based on Tea Leoni's interview with Hollywood Life on why she decided to take the role in the first place. It pretty much came down to the fact that Elizabeth is a strong woman in an office.

"I think about Julianna [Margulies, The Good Wife] and we're coming up right in front of her on Sunday nights, and I think there's room to see now the side of these women in office," Leoni said. "The thing about men, men can compartmentalize. Men can just go do that one thing. We don't even have that option. So I love seeing the expression of us! We are so busy and so fabulous!"

Madam Secretary airs on Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
