A new report suggests that the trailer for Terminator: Genisys featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger combatting Dwayne Johnson has been unveiled.

Terminator: Genisys To Start Like The Original But Feature New Twist Midway?  

On October 13, KpopStarz teased with its headline stating that fans could now watch the Terminator 5 trailer, but quickly qualifying it with what the video really was -- a fan made clip featuring the Schwarzenegger fighting Johnson. The video builds up to a showdown between the duo, both of whom are of the same make, and are T-800 machines. 

While Schwarzenegger is reprising his role as the iconic cyborg, there had also been buzz about Johnson joining the franchise with its fifth instalment. Although, this had only been rumored, fans are still hoping that Johnson might at least make a guest appearance in the movie.

Also, the two actors had a brief online exchange earlier this year, after Schwarzenegger congratulated Johnson for his recent movie Hercules and also suggested wanting to work with Johnson at some point.

Schwarzenegger showed his love on a fan forum, writing:

"I just came here to congratulate Dwayne, but you just gave me a great idea for a movie. I would love to do a movie with Dwayne - the Oak and the Rock - it couldn't be more perfect.

Anyway, congratulations Dwayne. The movie looks fantastic and I can tell you know what's best in life. Let's get together soon and share sword stories."

Johnson thanked Schwarznegger via Twitter on July 23.

"Awesome #HERCULESMovie comments from my bud @Schwarzenegger Look forward to swappin' sword stories," he tweeted.

Terminator 5: Genesis is being directed by Alan Taylor and also stars Jai Courtney, who will be playing Kyle Reese, and Emilia Clarke will play Sarah Connor. Sandrine Holt (House of Cards) will be playing Detective Cheung, who will "arrest Kyle and Sarah when they arrive in 2017."

Terminator 5 is scheduled to release in July 2015.
