The premiere Showtime's new drama, The Affair, has already caught the attention of critics, and has fans hooked with its Rashomon-styled narrative. A new report brings a scoop on the upcoming episode of the series, stating that it will offer some clarity relating to the mysterious interrogation.

The show premiered on October 12 and revolves around Noah (Dominic West), a writer struggling to pen his next novel. and Alison (Ruth Wilson), a waitress at a diner as the duo recall their affair for a mysterious interrogation. The fans aren't made privvy to the subject of the interrogation in the first episode. Both Noah and Alison are married, while Noah seems happily married with four children, Alison's marriage is tumultous over the loss of their only child.

E!Online revealed that fans will get "two big clues" that will hint to the reason of the investigation in the upcoming episode. The report goes onto state that as has been the case thus far, both Noah and Alison will tell different versions of the story, as they recollect a "very important development in their relationship"

"Oh, and hey, here's a little truth bomb you may have missed in episode one: Did you notice that at the end of it, the interrogator (is that a word?) called Alison by a different last name? WHAT THE?!!! God bless this genius show," the report informed.

The show premiered on October 12. The first episode is available for free viewing on the official website.

The next episode of the series will air on October 19 at 10 pm ET/PT on Showtime.
