Monica Lewinsky is one of the latest figures to join Twitter and her account is already infamous, but unfortunately not in a positive way.

Monica Lewinsky Joins Twitter To 'End Cyberbullying'

Lewinsky, whose claim to fame sparked after she was labeled as the mistress of Bill Clinton during his Presidency, was met with cruel and unruly mentions almost as soon as she set up her account Monday.

Ironically enough, Lewinsky is said to have joined the Twitter world in an attempt to stop cyber bullying. But that was exactly what she was hit with.

Details Behind Monica Lewinsky's Tell-All Book

Of course some Twitter useres took the time to bring up Lewinsky's past with Clinton and allegations that she performed oral sex.

A tweeter wrote, "Monica Lewinsky just joined Twitter yesterday. Hope she doesn't blow it" while another added, "@MonicaLewinsky finally joined Twitter to tell us about her sexual relations with Clinton".

Another fan kept it blunt and tweeted, "oohhh [shut up] there are consequences when you diddle with married men. you don't get to claim "1st victim of Internet bullying".

Some pointed out the fact that she signed up for Twitter just as Clinton's wife, Hillary Clinton is scouring headlines over her possible run for Presidency.

One wrote, "Gee, how convenient that Monica Lewinsky decides to reemerge just before the elections. Real motive?"

The harassment continued when yet another follower compared her appearance to Aerosmith's Joe Perry.

It seems as if Lewinsky was almost expecting mixed reactions from her new account.

Her first tweet reads, "#HereWeGo" followed by news that she would be speaking at an #Under30Summit. Despite being hit with backlash, she tweeted that she was full of #gratitude"

As of now she has 54.1K followers.
