Scott Michael Foster joined ABC's Once Upon a Time this year as the lovable Frozen character Kristoff and while he does have a significant storyline, it is mostly in support of Elsa (Georgina Haig) and Anna (Elizabeth Lail).

Unlikely Duo Teams Up To Find Snow Queen in Next Episode

Foster spoke with the Los Angeles Times this week and revealed that Kristoff will be helping Anna in her mission.

"Without giving anything away, you're going to see that Anna's on a mission. You'll see what that's all about, and how Kristoff can help her. There's a lot of twists and turns," he revealed. "Kristoff is there, honestly, as support for both of the girls. He's been trying to prove himself as a loyal brother-in-law and friend, and you'll see more of him really supporting these two -- being a good brother-in-law and a good fiancé."

Anna Sets Off On "Quite An Adventure" With Belle; Lots Of "Hiking In Heels"

Once Upon a Time is known for providing Storybooke versions of fairy tale characters and while Kristoff has not gotten his own "future" self, he did do a little speculating on what he might be like.

"He's the ice master and deliverer of Arendelle, so I'd like to assume he does something with that," he speculated. "Maybe he runs an ice skating rink. Or, even though Storybrooke is in the 21st century, maybe there's a nostalgic group of people who still have iceboxes - like back in the day, when you didn't have a freezer."

One thing that is for certain in future episodes is a further exploration of Anna and Kristoff and all of the pressure that comes from being engaged while all of this action is going on, as Foster previewed.

Once Upon a Time airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
