The holiday shopping season is once again rapidly approaching, and several sale-savvy consumers are already hoping to score some major deals during the biggest shopping weekend of all-Black Friday.

Naturally, the weekend has come under fire in recent years as retailers continually announce that they will be opening their doors earlier and earlier-with several sales beginning on Thanksgiving Day. And though the trend has resulted in major backlash from some consumers in the past, retailers are likely to continue pushing early sale start times this year as well.

While most stores haven't announced their official start times yet, Macy's has jumped the gun on its competitors, announcing plans to open at 6 p.m. Nov. 27 for the start of its biggest sales in mid-October. Their start time will be two hours earlier than 2013's 8 p.m. opening.

But while some consumers are opposed to stores opening their doors so early, more seem to enjoy the expanded hours because of the extra time it gives them to scoop up some pretty big deals on top products, including the season's hottest toys and electronics, as well as steep discounts on home goods and apparel.

So what exactly can shoppers count on for deals this year? Enstars took a look back at Black Friday ads and deals at top retailers from the past few years to predict what some of the bigger deals could be for 2014. Here are our four top picks for huge deals this year:

1. Sales On Increasingly Larger-Sized TVs

TV's are usually one of the biggest sellers at most top retailers each Black Friday, and for good reason. Each year, the sizes that are up for sale tend to grow-as do the discounts. The same should be expected this year. In 2012 for example, a 50" Westinghouse TV sold at Target for $349. By 2013, an Element TV the same size sold for just $229. 2013 also saw a 55" LG TV sell for $499.99 at Best Buy, a 60" Vizio sell for $688 at Wal-Mart, and a 65" Samsung was sold for $999.99. Similar discounts should be given this year on TVs just as large.

2. Discounted Apple Products (just not at the Apple store)

While the newest Apple products often aren't discounted on Black Friday, older models often see their prices cut down. With Apple unveiling iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus this past September, expect to see a rash of deals on last year's models-the 5c and 5s-- wherever they're sold.

3. Generally, expect a huge number of doorbusters everywhere

The doorbuster events are what the stores hope to use to entice shoppers into the building Thanksgiving Night, and in an effort to continually keep their interest in shopping, they will likely increase the amount of huge sales they plan to advertise. With several stores offering 100s of deals last year, expect the number to grow. Also expect Wal-Mart to continue their trend of having three different sales events starting at different times.

4. More Gift Card Bundles Than Ever Before

One of the better sales techniques stores have employed in recent years was tacking free gift card offers onto some of the hottest products. Even ones that sold for full price would have these offers tacked on in the hopes of enticing shoppers to buy-and then later come back with their gift cards to purchase even more items.Generally, Target has offered the largest volume of offers, and increases the amount of money offered on the gift cards each year. In 2012, they offered the newest iPad at the time for $499.99-and gave anyone who purchased it a free $60 gift card to use for another purchase. They also offered a $40 gift card on a $195.00 iPod Touch, a $20 gift card on a $149.00 iPod Nano, and a $100 gift card on the $499.99 iPhone 4 or 4s. By 2013, their deals extended to TVs as well-and gift card offers were even bigger. Tjose buying a 50" Samsung TV for $597.99 received a $50 gift card, whule those purchasing the iPad air-2013's newest model-received a $100 gift card when they purchased it. The iPhone 5s also had a gift card offer attached to it. Expect them and their biggest competitors to roll out some of their biggest free gift card offers to date.
