While many Batman and Superman fans are clamoring for new details on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the film's stars have come together to raise awareness for a good cause.

Ben Affleck's Batman Allegedly Has Two 'Batsuits' Plus A Shirtless Scene In Film

In a new video posted on the Warner Bros. YouTube page, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams and director Zack Snyder team up for "Save the Bats" Week.

"Essentially, these bats are on the verge of completely dying out," Affleck explains in the PSA. "Not only would we lose an extraordinary species, the death of our bats would be catastrophic to our ecosystem."

As explained in the video, bats eat million of bugs a day, allowing farmers to spray less pesticide on their food. However, bats are currently dying out due to white nose syndrome, a fungus that is growing on bats during hibernation that ultimately results in death.

"A lot of people are scared of bats and they think bats are bad but bats are incredibly beneficial and they are responsible for a lot of our ecosystem working," Snyder says in the video.

The video mostly shows Snyder, Adams and numerous families coming together to build bat habitats.

"I was definitely afraid of bats before and had an idea that they were creepy, but they have a lot of personality, actually," Adams notes. "They're quite charming!"

While this video might not be exactly what Batman/Superman fans are looking for, it is a clever tie-in with Affleck's character while helping to benefit a good cause.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled for release in theaters on March 25, 2016.
