The fact that she acted upon feelings for her husband's brother has caused Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) some major pain and anguish on The Bold and the Beautiful, but she could now be realizing that she was also a pawn in a cruel game.

Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) had previously admitted to Katie (Heather Tom) that he hoped to find a way to use Caroline's developing crush on him as a means to get him the vacant CEO position at Forrester-and though he is no denying he ever schemed in such a way, Caroline may have finally clued in that she has possibly risked her marriage to Rick (Jacob Young)-and it was all for nothing.

"Rick thinks that you're conning me," she says to Ridge in a preview clip for the Tuesday, October 28 episode. "Is that true?"

Now that his motives for kissing Caroline are being questioned, Ridge may need to fess up to his plan-but he could still try to convince Caroline that he did have genuine feelings for her as well, but should have realized that they should have ended their partnership before things got too out of hand.

"I should have stopped this before it went too far," he says.

When Caroline becomes wise to the truth however, she will become more heartbroken then before-especially as she will now be forced to do whatever it takes to keep Rick from leaving her-something his sister, Hope (Kim Matula) believes will happen as a result of Caroline's infidelity.

"Their marriage could be over," she says to Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) in the clip.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
