While the next Thor movie could have massive amounts of destruction and action, could there be a fight at the end that has major repercussions in the Marvel universe as the God of Thunder faces the largest villain yet on his own?

Loki Could Team Up With This Big Marvel Villain To Gain Power In 'Thor 3'

Comic Book Movie speculated on Tuesday about how Thor: Ragnarok could influence the rest of the Marvel universe even though it will most likely take place mostly on Asgard with little Earth presence, and it could include a fight with Thanos.

The site said that in the end, Thor is able to overcome whatever obstacle Loki throws into his way and discovers and frees his father Odin restoring the Allfather to his rightful place as king of Asgard.

Yet before they can go and finally bring down the trickster god Loki he has finished bringing Thanos to Asgard to claim his prizes. Thor immediately jumps in and challenges Thanos yet he is either quickly or after a short time of Thanos playing with him defeated by the much more powerful Thanos.

This fight ends with Odin coming out and trying to fight off Thanos only to end with him dying. Thanos then goes and claims his prizes (the Infinity Gauntlet and Tesseract) and leaves to prep for his abduction of the orb possibly in Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

Having this happen would be a massive moment for the Marvel universe as it would finally have Thanos doing something other than sitting and plotting. It also would give fans an idea of the power that the villain possesses and shows one Avengers what is on the way for the universe.
