After some of the biggest names in music circled the gig, it seems like the next James Bond movie has found the artist to sing the theme song for the film and it will be a rising star in the music industry.

Robert Pattinson's Girlfriend To Sing The 'Bond 24' Theme Song?

Page Six reported on Tuesday that Sam Smith, who has long been rumored to be the favorite, is set to sing the theme song for Bond 24. The artist beat out Lana Del Rey who was also lobbying hard for the opportunity to do the song.

Smith's hit Stay With Me has made him a recent sensation and it looks like Bond is going to try and use his recent rise to create a similar hit like they did with Adele, who sang the theme for the last movie after her rise to fame that culminated in winning a Grammy.

'Bond 24' Villain Rumor Squashed, Actor Denies Any Involvement

The New Yorker also revealed this week that Jez Butterworth, who was a co-writer on this year's Edge of Tomorrow, has been hired to re-write the final draft of the script for the movie. Butterworth was hired to do a similar role for Skyfall as well.

The writer told the magazine that he had spent a week in September in conference with Sam Mendes and Daniel Craig, tweaking story lines for the new Bond movie. He added that it wasn't any massive revisions, but was crucial to add some scenes to diversify the movie.

"You know, like Bond doesn't have scenes with other men," he said. "Bond shoots other men-he doesn't sit around chatting to them. So you put a line through that."

Bond 24 is set to begin production soon with the movie hitting theaters on Nov. 6, 2015.
