One character that has been consistently rising throughout the Marvel universe, with Hayley Atwell's Peggy Carter, is Jaimie Alexander's portrayal of Lady Sif in the Thor series. But could her role have its biggest jump yet in the third movie?

Alexander is an actor that Marvel could look to use to capitalize on with the next film possibly be the last of the Thor franchise. But what could they do to capitalize?

With destruction coming, it could mean a focus on the relationship between her and Thor and the fact that she could play a large role in helping to defeat Loki and the Ragnarok that is coming.

It would seem that with the majority of the film taking place in Asgard that Natalie Portman may be getting sidelined in the movie and could be a non-factor with Thor, which would open the door for Lady Sif and the romance between the two characters.

But one thing that Lady Sif also has is the ability to kick just as much butt as Thor can and this film, and the included focus on their relationship, may give her the opportunity to show off her fighting abilities and engage in multiple massive battle sequences.

Alexander has already appeared in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. also and could always play a role later on in the two-part Avengers: Infinity Wars plot, but for now, she will be a critical character in the Ragnarok plot and be a big help to Thor has he deals with the end of Ragnarok and whatever happens at the end of Avengers 2.
