Chalk this up under not knowing what to say about this new bit of news.

Which Avenger Hinted At Spider-Man Joining The Group In New Photo?

Latino Review reported on Monday that the latest idea coming from Sony concerning their Spider-Man universe is a spin-off film completely centered around a younger version of Aunt May. The character is most recently portrayed by Sally Field in the last two films.

The site added that the target mood is some sort of espionage story in the vein of AMC's Mad Men, which may just be a way of saying "Agent Carter" without name-dropping Marvel's upcoming series.

What Sony Needs To Do To Bring Interest Back To 'Spider-Man' Series

They go on to add that Marvel recently released a Mark Millar-penned romance mini-series in 2003 called Trouble that they thought would be the new origin of Spider-Man. It featured teenage versions of Aunt May, Uncle Ben, Richard and Mary Parker.

Through a convoluted series of events, May gets pregnant as a teen by Richard but gives up baby Peter to Mary, who takes the secret of Peter's true parentage to her grave.

While there have been some random ideas thrown around, this may take the cake. While Sony knows the Spider-Man franchise is being held onto by a thread, they seem to continue to brainstorm a variety of different ideas in order to generate some sort of interest within the public.

It looks like Sony is going to once again try something out.
