New details have been revealed on what fans can expect from the next episode of Reign that will come with some tension between Mary and Francis over something that he can't tell her.

Chatter On Narcisse Blackmailing Francis On 'Reign'

On Wednesday, the series' Twitter page posted a video with writers and producers Melody Fox, Adele Lim and Laurie McCarthy as they dished on what Thursday night's episode will be about. There will be a certain group of people arriving to the kingdom that ought to leave everyone in fear.

"The Vatican representatives are in France and they could be really terrifying," Lim said.

Mary will also hold blame on Francis over his edict, which will cause some unwanted anger.

"What we're going to see in this episode is some of the ramifications of what he's done in the previous episodes particularly in the episode prior to this where he signs an edict in which all different subjects have to come forward and declare their faith," Fox pointed out.

Francis offers to send Mary to Scotland, but she doesn't see why he would do this. It just so happens that Narcisse is blackmailing him because he can put his head on a spike- as well as Mary's.

"He's bowing to the Catholic nobles, he's bowing to Narcisse and she doesn't really understand why," McCarthy said.

"And it's heartbreaking because he's doing it to protect her, but she doesn't know it at the time," Lim added.

Reign airs on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
