In an interview on Sunday with MTV News, Leto was asked whether the rumors of him playing the Joker were true and he pulled out a line from a former movie of his to answer the question.

"You know there's a film called Fight Club, my friends, and you know what the first rule is, don't you?" Leto said. "Nuff said."

'Arrow' Star Says DC TV Shows Require More Work Than The Movie Universe

Of course, the first rule of Fight Club is that we don't talk about Fight Club, but is Leto still signaling that he is taking on the role?

It seems like the actor cleverly dodged the question so that could mean that he still plans on taking on the role or that he just knows the rumors and wants to mess with us. Either way, with filming for Suicide Squad possibly happening next year, the full cast should be revealed very soon.

Other big names that are circling roles in the film are Will Smith, Tom Hardy, and Jai Courtney. It was thought that Ryan Gosling was the first choice for The Joker but the actor turned it down which led producers to look at Leto.

Suicide Squad will be the first DC universe movie after Batman v. Superman and could introduce Joker for a team-up with Lex Luthor in a future Justice League movie.
