There are set to be some major shake-ups coming on The Bold and the Beautiful-and they could come with the return of a very popular character!

Kim Matula Leaving The 'Bold and the Beautiful'

Fresh off of the announcement that Kim Matula opted not to renew her contract and would be leaving the role of Hope Logan on the show by the end of 2014, CBS announced they were looking to recast the role of Steffy Forrester-formerly played by Jacqueline MacInnes Wood-and Hope's former nemesis when it came to winning Liam's (Scott Clifton) affections. And though nothing can be confirmed or set in stone just yet, the possible woman who could be taking over as Steffy may have already been revealed.

Kelly Thiebaud, who has been portraying Dr. Britt Westbourne on ABC's General Hospital for two years, recently went off contract with the soap, which bumps her down to recurring status-with reports claiming that she could disappear off the canvas all together very quickly as the actress is seeking new opportunities. With her decision coming on the heels of the major announcements going on at B&B, some are wondering if Thiebaud may be the new Steffy Forrester.

Could One Of These Actresses Be The New Hope Logan?

In addition to Matula choosing to leave Bold and the Beautiful, MacInnes Wood, whose last appearance in her role as Steffy was a year ago, has also confirmed she wouldn't return, meaning the role is open for Thiebaud to take.

According to ABC Soaps in Depth, the rumors of Theibaud joining Bold and the Beautiful are completely false however, though the directors, writers and casting people working on the soaps have been known to try and mislead fans by denying reports before. Recent General Hospital additions Michelle Stafford as Nina Clay and Billy Miller as Jason Morgan were rumored for months with no confirmation before they finally both appeared on screen.

CBS has not made any official decisions on whether Matula's role would be recast.
