Emma (Jennifer Morrison) is hoping to regain her friendship with Regina (Lana Parrilla) on top of everything else as the first half of Once Upon a Time season 4 winds down.

Morrison recently spoke with Entertainment Tonight and talked about Emma's stilted relationship with Regina. Despite Regina still being bitter over Emma bringing Marian (Christie Laing) back from the past, Emma just wants them to be friends.

"Emma is determined for them to be friends and for them to be allies," Morrison said. "They've gone through far too much to go back to being enemies in her mind."

Asked whether the tension between Emma and Regina has anything to do with them essentially sharing custody of Henry (Jared Gilmore), Morrison did not think this was the case anymore.

"I feel like Regina and Emma have both really embraced each other as being Henry's parent a long time ago," she said. "I don't think there's any animosity there and there hasn't been in a long time."

Morrison continued that at the very least, they support each other as both being parents of Henry.

"Regina's concern with Marian coming back has nothing to do with Emma being Henry's birth mother, and has nothing to do with Regina being Henry's adoptive mother," Morrison explained. "I think they both fully support each other as mothers of Henry and they know that each other are both going to fight their hardest to do the right thing for Henry."

In the mean time, Emma is dealing with more pressing matters, with the Snow Queen (Elizabeth Mitchell) wanting to wipe out anyone without magic powers. She is also dealing with Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) in harm's way with Rumple (Robert Carlyle).

Once Upon a Time airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
