Supernatural's Gabriel didn't always posses the same vessel that fans have become accustomed to.

Richard Speight Jr., the man viewers have known as both the Trickster and Gabriel, believes his character actually stole Loki's meat suit.

"If Gabriel went into witness protections and all the pagan gods recognized him as the Trickster Loki when he was with them in "Hammer of the Gods," then they must recognize him as a meat suit that Loki uses, which means that Loki, who was in that meat suit originally, has been put somewhere and caged up for all this time," Speight told Enstars.

If Loki is locked away somewhere, Supernatural writers have to potential to make the angel (if he is truly alive) and the Norse god battle it out.

"I feel like there's a fun episode in having the Trickster come back," Speight said, adding that he'd love for Loki to get out and for Gabriel and Loki to have to square off against each other."
