Chad Johnson, a football player for the Miami Dolphins was arrested for head butting his wife, Evelyn Lozada on Saturday.

The football star was charged for domestic violence after he assaulted the reality star which led to injuries that required stitches.

According to TMZ who obtained a copy of the police report, Johnson yelled "I don't give a f***! I don't give a f*** about my career!"

The report also reveals Lozada "fled on foot to a neighbor's house to get away from Johnson."

Johnson, 34, saw a judge at 8:30 am Sunday and his bond was set at $2,500. The receiver for the NFL team is expected to be released from Broward County Jail in a few hours. He was ordered not to have any contact with Lozada, who was not present in the courtroom, according to Miami Herald.

The attack came after the "Basketball Wives" star confronted Johnson about a receipt for condoms she found in their car. The couple was driving to their home in Davie, Florida. When they arrived home, the argument escalated. According to several reports, Johnson leaned toward her and headbutted her inside the car.

"She has a pretty good-sized laceration on her forehead," Davie Police Capt. Dale Engle told Miami Herald.

She was reportedly taken to West Side Regional Hospital, treated for her injuries, and released early Sunday. Johnson, who recently changed his name from Ochocinco, told cops they accidentally bumped heads.

Johnson and Lozada have been married for less than two months. When the couple wed on July 4 in Saint Martin, Johnson tweeted details of the event throughout the ceremony. The wedding was recorded for their "Basketball Wives" spin off reality show "Ev and Och."

The series will premiere September 2012 and will consist of eight half-hour episodes with a two-part wedding finale.
