In a recent interview Michelle Rodriguez shared wanting to take a break after the rough year she has had, hinting at the fact that she won't be seen on screen as much after Furious 7.

The 36-year-old actress, who plays the part of Letty Ortiz in Furious 7, spoke to The Evening Standard about how Paul Walker's death and her volatile relationships this year, have taken their toll on her and she feels the need to step back and take stock of things.

"This year has been too much and I need some time out," she said. "I've been working hard and now I want time off. That's what I do. Work hard, play hard. I don't think that's much to ask or want."

Rodriguez added that her schedule was free and she will be taking a whole year to get back into the the scene.

"I don't have anything in the pipeline at the moment. I'm free," she added. "I had so much heartbreak last year that I am taking a year off to do something different, like write."

Rodriguez had also been in the news for her short-lived relationships with Cara DeLevingne and Zac Efron.

The cast for the seventh installment reprising their roles include Vin Diesel, Rodriguez, Luke Evans, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris and Jordana Brewster. UFC Womens Bantam weight champion Ronda Rousey and ONG Bak star Tony Jaa will also star in the film.

Fast and Furious 7 will hit theaters in April 3, 2015.
