With production set to start soon, it looks like MGM is hoping to get everyone excited about the next chapter in the James Bond franchise with a live stream to announce the new title and cast. But will there be any surprises in the latter?

Production Starts Soon But 'Bond 24' May Have One Last Role To Cast

EON Productions, MGM and Sony Pictures announced on Tuesday that a live event will be happening on Thursday at the 007 Stage at Pinewood Studios across the pond where the title and cast will be revealed before production on the film begins on Monday, Dec. 8.

The event will stream live on 007.com, beginning at 6 a.m. Eastern time (that's 3 a.m. Pacific time).

Is 'Bond 24' Adding An Oscar-Winner To The List Of Potential Bond Girls?

As of now, the confirmed cast is Daniel Craig returning as Bond, Ralph Fiennes as M, Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny, Rory Kinnear as Bill Tanner, and Ben Whishaw as Q. The event should also confirm whether Lea Seydoux, Dave Bautista, and Christoph Waltz are joining the film.

There has been much speculation as to where the name will come from, and if Sam Mendes and company will go with a classic Ian Fleming novel title, but it seems more likely that the team will go with something more original and not linked to a book.

With Waltz possibly coming on as Ernst Blofeld, it would make sense to have some sort of classic title, but instead of taking from a book with the character in it, they may look to establish their own ground with this revitalized character.

As for the cast, it seems likely that one more name that hasn't been mentioned could be coming on board as a Bond girl and could be the live event's biggest surprise.
