Is there ever going to be a movie version of the video game The Last of Us? It looks like it might happen.

Maisie Williams To Stay True To 'The Last Of Us?'

On Wednesday, IGN posted an interview with Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams who mentioned that there's been some buzz that she would star in the movie. While there is no script and no official confirmation, she made it clear that it's definitely likely to happen.

"I was doing so much work for Thrones that I didn't want to half-arse it, so I said I'm not going to [moderate]," Williams said. "They said fine, but they're gonna announce they had talks. So the way it was left is they want me to do it, and I want to do it. But there's no script, no director, and no anything else. So at this moment, it's looking like, 'Yes,' but it's still such early days."

Lady Stoneheart Chatter On 'Game Of Thrones'

If things come together as the fans want them to, the actress said that she would definitely be on board to be a part of it.

"If they can make it in 30 years, they can't have a 40-year-old Ellie," Williams said. "So at the moment, it's looking good, and I'd love to do it. Hell yeah."

As it turns out, the actress who plays Ellie in the game apparently has Williams' support.

"Ashley Johnson- who did Ellie's voice- [fans] asked her what she thought of me and she said, 'That's pretty much my dream,'" Williams said. "I don't follow her, but I was silently stalking her wondering what she thought of all this."
