With CBS's Survivor: San Juan del Sur winding down to its final two episodes, there is a greater knowledge of where this season will likely fall in comparison to other seasons.

'Survivor' Episode 13 Promises 'One Of The Biggest Blindsides' Of the Season, Will Jon & Jaclyn Be Broken Up?

During the pre-merge of Survivor: San Juan del Sur, many fans were not happy with the way the season was going. Multiple fans complained about the amount of bartering with Jeff Probst, saying Survivor wasn't what it used to be in terms of hardship. There were also many unlikable players and not enough likable ones, at least through the pre-merge.

After the merge things began to pick up with the escalating tension between Jeremy Collins and Josh Canfield. The season had been building up to who would defeat the other and while Josh became the first member of the jury, fans were floored when Jeremy was voted out right after him, essentially eliminating the two biggest characters of the season up to that point.

The multiple idol plays episode in which Keith Nale managed to get his own son Wes Nale voted out of the game was another big one, full of compelling strategy from the remaining players.

While last week featured rather obvious boots in Reed Kelly and Alec Christy, the final six features some pretty interesting people. Jon Misch feels confident in himself and is planning longterm with a goal of winning the game. He and his girlfriend Jaclyn Schultz have been straddling between alliances in every vote, essentially controlling the game.

Meanwhile, Natalie Anderson has been carefully plotting her revenge on Jon for voting out Jeremy. Missy Payne and Baylor Wilson might not be the most liked players but they have at least showed solid strategy up to this point. And Keith remains an entertaining character.

It remains to be seen how this season will end, but if it's anything like the previous few episodes, we may be in for an entertaining finish.

Depending on how the season ends, Survivor: San Juan del Sur may manage to land somewhere in the middle of the pack in terms of Survivor seasons. While very few are calling this one of the best seasons of all time like last season's Cagayan, there are also fewer people who could call this one of the worst.

Survivor: San Juan del Sur airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
