Regina (Lana Parrilla) won't be the only wicked woman in town in the upcoming second half of ABC's Once Upon a Time as she faces off with a trio of iconic villainesses.

Maleficent (Kristin Bauer van Straten) is slated to make her triumphant return to Once Upon a Time alongside Cruella De Vil (Victoria Smurfit) and Ursula (Merrin Dungey). Parrilla spoke about Regina's relationship with the three villains in a new interview with Zap2It.

"I think Maleficent is more of a formidable foe because she's a powerful sorceress so I think she fears what Maleficent is going to bring to Storybooke and the potential danger of having this sorceress/dragon beast coming back," Parrilla told Zap2It. "She's not as threatened by the other two."

It's no surprise that Maleficent is most formidable as she is often portrayed as the leader of the Disney villains. Angelina Jolie certainly left a big mark as Maleficent in this year's live action movie of the same name, and the Once Upon a Time version is wearing her traditional black horns in the preview for next week's episode.

While Regina does have a special relationship with Maleficent, she is certainly familiar with Cruella and Ursula.

"In regards to Cruella and Ursula -- [Regina] knows of these women," she said. "They too have a history with her, but not as close or as tight as Maleficent's."

Once Upon a Time airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
