Kim Matula has officially exited the role of Hope Logan on The Bold and the Beautiful, but her character won't be gone for long, as the role is officially going to be recast.

4 Actresses Who Could Be Recast As Hope Logan

According to Soap Opera Network, show creator Bradley Bell confirmed that even though Matula was leaving, and they initially didn't plan on recasting her, they changed their minds because of how central her character is on the show.

"Hope Logan is a critical and central character to the show," he said. 'Hope will continue to be on the show. We're losing Kim Matula, who is a brilliant actress, and I am hoping, at some point, she will return in the role-but the role will continue."

With his confirmation, rumors began circulating on the internet over potential actresses who would place Matula in the coveted role-with two names in particular being the most common.

According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, the two actresses whose names are being tossed around the most as possible Hope recasts are former General Hospital star Julie Marie Berman, and Days of Our Lives actress Chrishell Stause.

Though Berman has been off the soap canvas for a while, Stause is still appearing on-screen with her NBC soap-though she confirmed via Twitter in October that she was taping her final scenes as the character of Jordan Ridgeway, and would no longer air on the soap after March.

"Sadly I have wrapped up my time over at @nbcdays. It's been an amazing journey & the best is yet to come for Jordan. I tapes scenes in Nov I'm really proud of and I will air into March. I've made great friends and memories in my time there. I would like to thank NBC/Cordray for the opportunity. I love my daytime family & am looking forward to what the future has in store," she wrote.

It is currently unclear who could possibly replace Hope, nor is it certain when exactly the character will return to the canvas. Matula's final scenes, which aired Dec. 12, showed her sharing an emotional goodbye with Liam (Scott Clifton) as she decided to head to Milan to join her mother, Brooke, following her miscarrying her child with Wyatt (Darin Brooks).

Though it is unclear when Hop will be back, a character that has been missing for a while is set to come back soon as well, with the original actress for it returning as well. Jacqueline MacInnes Wood has already begun taping episodes as Steffy Forrester that are set to air at the end of January.
