Tori Spelling wants to make it clear that she has nothing to hide. The Hollywood actress has opened up about revealing so much of her personal life and drama on the small screen, while admitting that she has a good reason as to why she's so open with her fans.

In a new interview with People Magazine on Friday, Spelling says that she likes to be in control of what is said about her and her family and that is why she decided to do her reality television show, True Tori.

She said, "I feel like I've always had a good connection with my fans and everyone out there. I'm very open and honest about my life. My life has been very public, and it's hard to keep things private. I'd rather get the truth out there than have people write what they think the truth is."

She added, "It was my way of making sure that if people are going to make up stories, I'm going to tell them exactly how it is so they don't have their chance to do that."

What's more, Spelling admits that everything is going much better now for her family than it did this time last year, when it was revealed that her husband Dean McDermott cheated on her with a fan while in Toronto.

Spelling said, "We're working really hard at our relationship and our family. We are truly committed to each other. I'm in such a better place. The winters are hard. The kids pick up sicknesses at school. I get hit the hardest. We're all healthy now."
