It looks like Will might himself a romantic partner on Nashville now that things are ending with his fake marriage to Layla.

'Nashville' Will Continue To Have 'So Much Drama'

On Wednesday, TV Line posted some new information on what's about to happen on the ABC series, which will introduce a new recurring character named Kevin Shay. He is an openly gay singer and songwriter who's one of the most successful artists in Nashville. He is described as a handsome and tough "man's man." And according to the site, he'll likely be "Will's new man."

If these two do end up together, it leaves some questions if Will is going to feel more comfortable talking about his orientation or not. Plus, is this going to be a long-lasting romance or is it going to be a casual encounter?

'Nashville' Actor Says He Likes 'Messing Up The Story A Little Bit'

As for the rest of the TV series' storyline, Eric Close (Teddy) mentioned to The Hollywood Reporter that his character might be more involved in the lives of his ex-wife and daughters again.

"There's much more involvement because some things start to happen with Teddy and some of the choices he's making that draw Rayna and the girls back in," the actor said. "It always seems to happen that their lives are so intertwined."

Close also revealed that he might be included in the show's music side than just the political side.

"It's an interesting character because since Teddy doesn't sing and he's in the political world being the mayor of 'Nashville,' he's not as involved with the music side of it," he said. "But I think there are some things happening with the character that will start pulling him more into that world of music, so it'll be very interesting."

Nashville returns this February on ABC.
