Starz' The Missing will officially be back for a second season, but it seems the story will change.

Rotten Tomatoes announced on Thursday that the show will return with a similar storytelling as the first season, but will reboot in a new location, during a new time and even with new character.

Harry and Jack Williams, who are repsonsible for the writing of the first season of the show, are back for the second season which will reportedly unfold over two different time periods.

Starting a second season under new premises is not uncommon, as it was done in True Detective and Fargo as well.

The show received two Golden Globe nominations and is currently Certified Fresh at 96 percent, Rotten Tomatoes reported, after only one, eight-episode season.

For those who may be tuning in for the first time,The Missing follows the story of Tony, a man devoted by the abduction of his son Oliver during a family vacation to France, according to IMDb. He is tortured by it and spends years searching for Oliver which "fractures his marriage to Emily."

According to the IMDb synopsis, the show "explores the impact of a child's abduction, the emotional cost of obsession, hope and finding when to let go."

The finale of season one airs on Starz, Saturday, January 10th.
