In a recent interview, Chris Pratt, who plays the lead part of Owen in Jurassic World, dished about why working on the movie was so special for him and how the franchise was iconic.

The actor spoke to Entertainment Weekly about his involvement with the dinosaur series, and celebrated it by recalling how he the original Jurassic Park left an indelible impression on him.

"I grew up loving Jurassic Park and these epic spectacles," he said. "I saw [the first one] opening night in the theater. It was a huge moment for me."

Gory Stills Of The Diabolous Rex In Jurassic World Leaked?  

On December 18, director Colin Trevorrow revealed a new still from Jurassic World featuring Pratt as Owen posing beside a raptor via his Twitter account.

Trevorrow posted the image as something of a gift to fans before the holidays.

"Happy Holidays from the editing room. Do not try this at home," he captioned the picture.  

In the image, Pratt is looking buff and strong, posing by menacing looking raptor. In the trailer Pratt's character was also seen racing on a motorcycle with the raptor. Owen is said to be a behavioral trainer, and has an understanding of raptors in the movie, in essence he knows how to get along with the beasts.

Recently two other new movie stills of Jurassic World featuring Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard were recently unveiled by a fan's Twitter account.

Jurassic World also stars Ty Simpkins, Irrfan Khan, and Vincent D'Onofrio.

The Jurassic Park films are based on Michael Crichton's series of novels about pre-historic beasts being revived by revolutionary gene technology. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley are co-producing the film alongside Steven Spielberg, who directed the first two installments in the franchise. Irrfan Khan and Ty Simpkins also star in the movie.

The film will hit theaters on June 12, 2015.
