Johnny Manziel cannot seem to catch a break since during his second professional start Sunday against the Carolina Panthers he suffered a hamstring injury and was removed from the game.

Johnny Manziel Calls Report That His Teammates Snubbed Him 'Ridiculous'

Sunday the Browns faced yet another loss, 17-13.

Manziel left late in the first half and did not return so previous starting quarterback for the team Brian Hoyer stepped in.

Rookie QB Has Total Support From Offensive Coordinator Kyle Shanahan

The Panthers safety Colin Jones hit Manziel by the sideline on a designed quarterback run. Manziel got up and headed back toward the huddle; however, he fell back down. Trainers examined the rookie's hamstring for a few minutes on the field and a few minutes on the sideline before taking him into the locker room for halftime.

ESPN's website reported Sunday after the game that Manziel said he "felt a little tight in my hamstring" when he got up. The injury only worsened after the first-down run on the next sequence of plays.

"As I kept walking more and more, it just felt like something I hadn't experienced before. I figured I needed to get checked out. Pretty frustrating," Manziel said, who completed 3-of-8 passes for 32 yards and ran for three yards on two carries.

When Manziel went down the crowd in the stadium erupted into cheers, which apparently didn't sit well with the Panthers quarterback Cam Newton. He reportedly called the crowd "classless."

He also said, "We don't celebrate [that]."

It is unknown as of now if Manziel will be able to play in next Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens.
