It is no secret Big Sean and Ariana Grande are very private when it comes to their relationship; now the rapper has opened up about why they keep their dating life to themselves as well as rumors that his new song is a jab at his ex-fiancée Naya Rivera.

Big Sean & Ariana Grande Getting 'Very Serious Very Quickly'

He made an appearance on HOT 97 in New York City and initially shied away from questions concerning Grande, a topic it did not take long for co-host Ebro to address.

When asked how long the two have been an official item, Big Sean kept it simple with "Awhile. That's for me to know and for you to find it."

Ariana Grande 'Thankful' For 'Perfect' Boyfriend, Big Sean On Twitter, He Responds

He went on to reveal why he and Grande have decided to be a little more quiet about their relationships versus being open about it.

"That's between me and her. We just do what we wanna do."

The I Don't F With You rapper went on to shut down speculation that he and Grande keep things under wraps because he was very public in his last relationship with Naya Rivera. The two had a very public and ugly breakup earlier this year after being engaged for just a few weeks. Rumor was that his new single and even the video to go along with it was a diss record toward Rivera.

Big Sean spoke on that as well after being asked if the football themed video was taking a dig at Rivera as her older brother plays football.

He said, "It makes total sense that it would be. The football theme was just something fun. Who cares man? Look man, I did this song back in February. I listened to the song with her. I went back and changed a couple lines. I did that just cause I'm an artist. I don't rap about what I'm going through, that's not authentic. That song aint no diss song."
