FX has released a plot synopsis for the final episode of American Horror Story: Freak Show, with a tease that Elsa (Jessica Lange) will be making her big move to Hollywood.

'American Horror Story' Star Sarah Paulson Speculates What Dot Would Do If Something Bad Happened To Jimmy

As shown in the final scene of the latest episode of American Horror Story, Elsa will ultimately get what she wanted: to become a star, even if just on television. As Pepper (Naomi Grossman) viewed her beloved Elsa on the cover of Life magazine, she will indeed be moving to Hollywood in the final episode.

The synopsis for the final episode, which is titled Curtain Call, reveals "Elsa arrives in Tinseltown."

While this may seem like a happy ending, television wasn't always what it is now. Elsa railed against the idea of appearing on television in the first few episodes of Freak Show and it's possible that she may have to sacrifice a lot of her happiness in order to become a TV star.

Meanwhile, back in Florida, "The Freaks rebel against new management" while "Dandy [Finn Wittrock] prepares for his debut performance."

As Wittrock previously said, Dandy's storyline and the freak show storyline will "collide" in the final episode, so it is suggested that he may become part of the show. However, "his debut performance" could mean anything, especially to someone as twisted as him.

It remains to be seen what will happen to the freak show performers, at least those who haven't already been killed or sent to an asylum. Pepper being institutionalized at the Briarcliff asylum could be the fate that many of the freak performers will suffer after the tents go down and the audiences who once loved them lose interest entirely.

American Horror Story: Freak Show is set to return on Wednesday, Jan. 7 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
