While actor Alfonso Ribeiro is still slightly injured after winning ABC's Dancing With the Stars this fall, he is set to go on the show's tour anyway.

Ribeiro suffered a couple injuries over the course of the latest season of DWTS, but he was able to push through the pain and win the Mirrorball Trophy with pro partner Witney Carson.

Now, Ribeiro is set to embark on the Dancing With the Stars Live! Tour with several pros. The actor, as well as Carson, recently spoke with The Wall Street Journal, revealing the latest on his injuries and what was ahead for the tour.

"The aches and pains have gone away, but the injuries are still there," Ribeiro admitted.

Now that Ribeiro is no longer dancing in a nationally televised competition, he said that he is able to be a little more careful with what he can do.

"Now that we aren't performing for judges and all of America at once, I can lessen the energy. We can try to be smart," he said.

He noted that "the real stars each year are the pros," and that the upcoming tour will "highlight 10 years of amazing dance."

Meanwhile, Carson explained why the art of dance is so important to her.

She noted that dance is "an outlet for me to express myself other than using words. It's an art form, it's beautiful. People appreciate that."

Among other pros set to embark on the tour are Mark Ballas, Val Chmerkovskiy, Emma Slater, Keo Motsepe, Kym Johnson and Sasha Farber. Apparently some of the celebrities who competed on Dancing With the Stars alongside Ribeiro will be appearing at certain dates.

The Dancing With the Stars Live! Tour runs from Dec. 27-Feb. 15.

Meanwhile, Dancing With the Stars returns for its landmark 20th season in March on ABC, though the network has not yet announced a specific premiere date.
