While fans still try to get used to the idea of Big Sean and Ariana Grande being a couple, the rapper has made it clear that he prefers for his girlfriend not to be a topic of conversation in interviews.

Big Sean Dishes On Keeping Relationship With Ariana Grande Private 'For Me To Know & You To Find Out'

While speaking with Ebro of HOT 97 in New York City earlier this week, Big Sean tried his best to avoid any questions concerning his new girlfriend, but things got a little tense when the outspoken radio host did not want to leave Grande out of the interview.

Ebro told Big Sean he can tell by his facial expression that he does not like to speak on Grande with the media.

Big Sean & Ariana Grande Getting 'Very Serious, Very Quickly'

Big Sean set the record straight.

"I love talking about Ariana. That's just not why I'm here man," he said and reminded Ebro the purpose of the interview was to promote his new music.

"I own [dating a superstar], it is what it is. I ain't sitting up here talking to you about your relationship. I talk about my relationship on the radio," he said. "But everything is good though. Everything is great. What I can say is that I'm happy, she brings out the best in me.I feel like that's what's important."

The topic later moved on to Big Sean's ex-fiancée, Glee star Naya Rivera. The two were engaged earlier this year. They split just weeks before she secretly wed fellow actor Ryan Dorsey. Big Sean also attempted to stay quiet on what caused the breakup after Ebro suggested that Rivera used him to boost her career and have a celebrity wedding.

"We just didn't work out man," he said."When I'm in something I respect it. It is what it is," after Ebro asked if he and Rivera were still friends.
