It's hard work being a prince and princess, and sometimes that means tradition needs to be broken, which is exactly what the Royal Family did this holiday season.

Daily Mail posted photos on Saturday of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arriving for service at St. Mary Magdalene Church. The couple reportedly headed back to the Norfolk mansion after the service to have turkey dinner with the Middletons.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were joined by the Queen, Prince Phillip, Prince Harry and other members of the Royal Family for the service.

They were greeted by a large crowd of onlookers who had allegedly been waiting for hours to see the couple. When Middleton realized this, she apologized to the crowd for not having Prince George with them.

"I'm sorry we didn't bring George but you would have heard him in the church," she told onlookers.

The people waiting to see the Royal Family ranged from older people in wheelchairs, tiny children and even a tiny terrier named Pixie that lept up, pawed at Prince Harry's leg and sniffed his shoes.

The couple received a lot of flowers from the crowd of people who were wishing them well. William expressed his gratitude to the people buy saying his grandmother would be very happy with the flowers.

The crowd reportedly said William was very, very sweet and even asked the is they were having a nice day.

When the Royal Family wrapped up the service, the Duke and Duchess left the church and headed for Middleton's home for the holiday dinner.
