Then, on Dec. 26 the site released a report that Cyrus didn't mind the minor separation from her beau.

A source revealed the couple would reunite for New Year's Eve, which turned out to be true.

On Thursday, the Wrecking Ball singer posted her midnight kiss with Schwarzenegger to Instagram. She included "2015" in the caption with an emoji of a pair of red lips.

The singer also shared a snap of herself decked out in typical New Year's party stuff, a sequined hat and a party whistle in her mouth.

Schwarzenegger snapped a photo and shared it on his Twitter of him and Cyrus sticking their tongues out with 2015 glasses on.

He said 2015 will "be a good year".

People reported on Thursday that the couple partied on New Year's Eve in Las Vegas alongside Schwarzenegger's dad Arnold, Arnold's girlfriend Heather Milligan and Sofia Vergara and her fiancé Joe Manganiello.

A source revealed, "Miley and Patrick walked hand-in-hand before they caught up with Arnold" for dinner at a steakhouse.

All the couples took in Britney Spears' show. Another source revealed, "Miley sang along to every word and chatted with Britney between songs."
