"What you're seeing is the destruction of a legacy," Rashad told the reporter. "And I think it's orchestrated. I don't know why or who's doing it, but it's the legacy that is so important to the culture."

Rashad also dismissed claims made by former super models Janice Dickinson and Beverly Johnson.

"Someone is determined to keep Bill Cosby off TV. And it's worked. All his contracts have been cancelled."

The Cosby Show, which aired on NBC from 1984-1992, was the series centered on the Huxtable family.

The show focused on an upper class African American family that defied stereotypes about African Americans.

It's no secret that the actress has known the comedian for a very long time, and when asked how she felt about him, Rashad simply said, "I love him."

Cosby made headlines in the recent weeks because he has been accused of raping, sexually assaulting or drugging more than 20 women.

The comedian has yet to be charged for any of these alleged crimes, but his career and his legacy have plummeted.
