Things are going to get bloody on Penny Dreadful this season.

Dorian Gray Might Be Getting More Screen Time On 'Penny Dreadful'

For Showtime's Victorian supernatural drama, the question is not if, but how will disaster strike. Vampires? Werewolf attack? The possibilities are almost endless, but the violence is most certainly inevitable.

Production for the show's second season resumed in Dublin this week and on Thursday director James Hawes informed followers on Twitter that they were going to be testing out some more blood.

Ethan Chandler Could Be Forced To Flee London On 'Penny Dreadful'

This could have something to do with a scene they shot on Tuesday, which Makeup Designer and Key Prosthetic Makeup Artist Sarita Allison had mentioned on Twitter.

More screen time for Eva Green (Vanessa Ives) and Josh Hartnett (Ethan Chandler) is great for fans, but not necessarily for the characters. Both have been struggling with their own demons and have relied heavily on each other to see it through.

As for Danny Sapani (Sembene), this could mean that he's finally getting is own storyline outside of Sir Malcom (Timothy Dalton). If not, then he is likely helping Vanessa and Ethan with something and his skillset suggests that a certain level of danger will be involved.

Penny Dreadful returns on Showtime for a second season in 2015.
