As the preview for season 3 of House of Cards was finally revealed, fans have got a bunch of hints to work off of, and it seems like Frank (Kevin Spacey) and Claire Underwood's (Robin Wright) relationship will undergo its biggest test yet.

Season 3 of House of Cards To Take A Detour From Original Plot?

While the clip captures a very bleak landscape, and shows the Frank digging a deeper ditch for himself making devious alliances and getting caught up in dirty international politics and probably even some kind of war, he is seen trying real hard to be resilient. While he is seen breaking down, he tries to put up a strong face, but Claire seems to be suffering more.

In one bit, a man of authority, probably an official representative of some other country, is seen kissing Claire, against her wishes in full view of everyone, including Frank, at a party. Toward the end of the clip Claire is seen telling Frank that they are murderers. Claire has never been as righteous before, and bore the disposition of Lady Macbeth, even through all of Frank's perverse activities. But it seems like with this season we will finally see her curmbling down, and she might even start to hate Frank some.

Latest Updates About The Plot For Season 3 Of House of Cards

In fact in the original BBC series Claire ends up killing Frank, could things be leading there as her conscience finally starts to sneak up on her?

In other news, Spacey finally won a Golden Globe award for best actor in a television drama series for his portrayal of Frank Underwood on House of Cards. The ceremony took place on the evening of January 11.

Previously, the actor had jokingly suggested that he might not attend the awards ceremony this time around to better his chances at a win.

Spacey tweeted about his nomination for the Netflix series, joking about how he hadn't won awards over the last eight times he was nominated because he attended the ceremony and maybe not going this time would make a difference this time around.

"I jinxed the last 7 #GoldenGlobes noms by showing up, should I sit 8 out in hopes that works? To better odds! #HouseofCards @RealRobinWright," he tweeted on December 11.

The third season will premiere on February 27, 2015.
