The Starz hit-series, The Missing, wrapped up it's run in the United States and has officially been renewed for a second season.

Emily Blames Tony For The Disappearance Of Ollie On 'The Missing'

On Saturday, The Missing finished it's United States run and the cable network said the program would return for a second season, reported UPI.

It's a good thing, too, that the show will return because according to Zap2It, the season 1 finale failed to provide closure for the viewers.

Though the main mystery of who kidnapped Oliver Hughes from a hotel bar in France in 2006 was finally solved, viewers were left without necessary answers to questions they had since the beginning of series.

It turned out that Oliver was not actually kidnapped, but hit by a car when the drunk owner of the hotel accidentally hit him in the middle of the road when he had wandered off from Tony.

The hotel owner ended up hiding Oliver, who was unconscious after being hit, at his place. Zap2It said this is where the story line gets construed. Though Oliver was assumed dead, his body was never found, which makes it seem as though he was just lost track of after being taken out of the safe house.

Emily is relieved that Oliver was found alive while Tony continues to search. Tony is eventually arrested for mistaking a Russian boy for his missing son. Zap2It said it won't be surprising if viewers are left unsatisfied with the finale of the TV show.
