A new Once Upon a Time comic book is slated to be released through Marvel Comics, focusing on four new storylines.

'Once Upon a Time' Star Ginnifer Goodwin Reveals Her Favorite Princess, Why It's Not Snow White

The Once Upon a Time Twitter account has been posting cryptic clues all week leading up to a Friday announcement, but it appears that the topic of the announcement has already been discovered. As reported by Hypable, a new comic book called Once Upon a Time: Out of the Past will be released in April.

"Return to the immersive world of ABC's hit television series ONCE UPON A TIME with an all-new sequel to the original graphic novel, ONCE UPON A TIME: The Shadow of the Queen," the description for the comic reads on Amazon.com. "Welcome to the Enchanted Forest, where the characters from classic fairy tales have come to life and are locked in an epic struggle between good and evil! Plott ed by series writer and co-executive producer, Kalinda Vazquez, and co-written by returning author Corinna Bechko, the release will tie into official show continuity and dive in to four never-before-told stories of fan favorite characters!"

'Mad Men' Veteran Coming To 'Once Upon a Time' As Arrogant Peddler

So far, the Once Upon a Time Twitter account has teased Captain Hook (played by Colin O'Donoghue in the series), a dagger and a rose signifying Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) and Belle (Emilie de Ravin) and a box that may be in relation to the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla).

One more will be revealed on Thursday before the official announcement on Friday.

With the popularity of Marvel and comics in general as of late, it is a good business decision to have more Once Upon a Time comics, especially since the fantastical world lends itself to comics very well.

The comic will apparently be released in hardcover on April 15. It will be 112 pages long.

Once Upon a Time returns for the second half of season 4 on Sunday, March 1 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
