No one was sure they were coming back for a new season, but it appears the negative publicity and attention that began surrounding Amish Mafia may be what persuaded cast members like Lebanon Levi and Merlin Miller to return for one last time.

The New Season Of 'Amish Mafia' Will Be Its Last

In a preview clip for the shows season four premiere, both Levi and Merlin appear to be ready to take on a bigger enemy than each other-former Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett (who has since been voted out of office in favor of Tom Wolfe).

Corbett famously called for an end to the series over the summer, during the heart of Mary Haverstick's 'Respect Amish' movement against the show-and it appears that was the final straw for the two supposed leaders of the Pennsylvania and Ohio Amish Aid Enforcers.

"The governor has no business interfering with our Amish affairs," Levi says in the clip.

In a rare occurrence, it appears Merlin agrees with Levi-and instead of fighting one another, they might be trying to team up in an effort to fight back against their new enemy.

"I have a hard time believing Governor Corbett cares about the Amish community," Merlin says.

However, after their efforts to talk to the Governor appear to be rebuked, Levi seems like he's ready to take action of a more serious kind-and in the process, admits that if it hadn't been for the new situation, he wouldn't have returned for another season of the show.

"We're telling the truth about what goes on behind the scenes of the Amish," he says in the clip. "If he had been quiet, maybe I would have stopped this show and never come back."

"I'm not going to stand for it," he adds.

The show's final season premieres Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 10 p.m. on Discovery.
