On Monday, TMZ reported that Wallis will be taking a massive pay cut in her role for Fathers and Daughters when compared to the 2015 remake of Annie.

The 11-year-old star, who was also an Oscar nominee, reportedly made $750,000 for her role as Annie.

The new movie, Fathers and Daughters, also stars Russell Crowe and Aaron Paul, and is only paying her $40,000 base salary for her role.

But Wallis does have the opportunity to earn bonuses along the way, TMZ reported. If Fathers and Daughters makes $35,000,000 at the box office, she can earn a $25,000 bonus. On top of that, she can earn $25,000 for every $5,000,000 jump afterward with a maximum bonus of $200,000.

Still, even with the potential bonuses it's a far reach from the money she made for Annie. And, she may not be done earning for that movie.

She still has the potential to earn a $750,000 bonus is the movie does well, and it has already grossed $100,000,000 worldwide.

Earning the money in Annie probably didn't feel like work to Wallis though. In an interview she did with Elle she talked about why she likes the character.

"I just keep doing what I'm doing and don't ever give up," she said. "That's what I like about Annie. If she has goals, she'll finish them, like me. We're both confident."
