Annemarie Kunkel is setting the record straight regarding her recent appearance on Vanderpump Rules.

Tom Sandoval Weighs In On His 'Vanderpump Rules' Cheating Scandal

On the show, fans were led to believe Kunkel set up her confrontation with Tom Sandoval with his ex-girlfriend, Kristen Doute. However, according to a new tweet, it was not Doute who initiated her visit to SUR. When asked if Doute was behind her trip, Kunkel revealed the truth.

"She did not," Kunkel told the fan. "I'll say this.. I went to California in the summer & was contacted while I was out there. Not by Kristen."

On Monday night's new episode of Vanderpump Rules, cast members turned against Doute after assuming she was responsible for Kunkel coming to the restaurant to confront Sandoval and his new girlfriend, Ariana Madix. Scheana Marie, who was previously close with Doute, ended their friendship because of it, which she explained in her Bravo blog and on Twitter.

"I still can't get over the fact that Kristen did what she did, bringing this girl into SUR," Marie wrote. "Kristen promised me numerous times she was going to let this go and not keep pursuing the Tom cheating rumors and speaking to this girl. She lied to me!"

While Madix and Marie have been best friends for years, Marie had previously given Doute the benefit of the doubt, and began a friendship with her. Now, their relationship is over.
