The critical point of success for Fluke and Helena's (Constance Towers) evil plan is inching ever closer on General Hospital, but the criminals are going to need to put some extra work in to make sure the plot goes off without a hitch.

The Truth About Fluke's Identity Is Revealed

Things have been looking a bit more daunting for them as of late, as several orders involving hits on certain people's lives have not gone through, and Bill Eckert's grave has been revealed to be empty. Now, with Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) investigating what he was told about Fluke, he has broken into the old Spencer house and was making an effort to save the real Luke from captivity in the basement.

However, in a preview clip for the Thursday, Jan. 29 episode, it appears even his attempt to thwart the plan will be stopped, after Fluke pushes him down the basement steps and appears to put him in great danger as well.

Fluke Sends Sonny and Julian A Message

Meanwhile, Helena has dispatched Jake (Billy Miller) to get the explosives aboard the Haunted Star in place ahead of the big launch party for the AJ Quartermaine Memorial Clinic. And though Jake was previously able to fight back against his conditioning as his memories from life as Jason came back, he has once again fallen under Helena's spell-and has officially set things up in order to cause the boat-and everyone aboard it-to die a painful death in a massive explosion.

"It's done," he says to Helena on the phone.

However, Carly's (Laura Wright) new concerns about Jake after realizing he had never met with Kevin about his memories will cause her to go to the police in fear that he could do something very dangerous-and very soon.

"I'm looking for Detective Falconeri," she says to Nathan (Ryan Paevy) in the clip. "It's about Jake."

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
