New details, specs and a teaser pic about the Indominus Rex in Jurassic World were recently unveiled on the official website of the movie.

Chris Pratt Talks About "Epic Spectacles" In Jurassic Franchise

Screen Crush caught this exciting development and relayed all the important information, along with a teaser pic of the hybrid dinosaur that is going to be the main source of terror in the park. In the teaser image only the maw and the terrifying fangs of the creature can be seen, around which there is billowing smoke, mystifying its true nature.

Here's the official bio for the dinosaur:

What We Know So Far About Jurassic World

"We set out to make Indominus the most fearsome dinosaur ever to be displayed at Jurassic World. The genetic engineers at our Hammond Creation Lab have more than delivered. At first glance, Indominus most closely resembles a T. Rex. But its distinctive head ornamentation and ultra-tough bony osteoderms can be traced from Theropods known as Abeliosaurs. Indominus' horns have been placed above the eye orbit through genetic material hybridized from Carnotaurus, Majungasaurus, Rugops and Giganotosaurus. Fearsome indeed.

Indominus' roar is estimated to reach 140-160db-the same as a 747 taking off and landing. And it can reach speeds of 30 mph...while confined to its enclosure. Come experience Indominus Rex for yourself beginning this summer. If you dare."

The second trailer for the movie is set to be released at the Super Bowl on February 1.

Jurassic World stars Chris Pratt as Owen, Bryce Dallas Howard as Beth, Jake Johnson as Lowery, Vincent D'Onofrio as Vic Hoskins, Irrfan Khan as Simon Masrani, and Ty Simpkins as Gray.

The Jurassic Park films are based on Michael Crichton's series of novels about pre-historic beasts being revived by revolutionary gene technology. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley are co-producing the film alongside Steven Spielberg, who directed the first two installments in the franchise. Irrfan Khan and Ty Simpkins also star in the movie.

The film will hit theaters on June 12, 2015.
