Kristen Stewart made her first public appearance and spoke to reporters for the first time since the cheating scandal that rocked her world ended six weeks ago.

The actress attended the Toronto Film Festival on Thursday, Sept. 6 in a stunning lace dress with embroidered detail and sheer shoulder panel and sleeves by Zuhair Murad.

"Dude, I'm really happy that they're here for 'On the Road,' " she told MTV News before the film's screening. "I think most of them were fans before I had anything to do with it, which is why they're here anyways, so it's awesome."

Stewart signed autographs, smiled for paparazzi and reportedly jumped into the crowd to take photographs with fans.

The "Panic Room" star spoke with MTV News again after the film screening about her thoughts on the final "Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn- Part 2" trailer. The third and final preview video was presented by former boyfriend Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and other "Twilight" co-stars at the 2012 MTV VMAs at the Staples Center in Los Angeles that same evening.

When asked about the 90-second clip that showed her "Twilight" character Bella tackling a mountain lion, the actress quipped "I don't like cats. I'm a dog person. You know what I'm saying?"
